Anissa Dorman

Manager

CA, B.Bus (Acc)

Born and raised in Berrigan in the Southern Riverina, I made the permanent move to Albury/Wodonga in 1999 to complete my Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Charles Sturt University, graduating in 2005. Membership and CA qualifications followed with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) in 2008. I live in North Albury with my sister.

I joined the team at ATS Partners in October 2009 as Senior Manager of Business & Taxation Services at ATS Partners specialising in compliance, tax planning and business development for medium to large enterprises and individual tax-payers as well as Human Resource issues, software support, business valuations, benchmarking and cash flow forecasting. Upon the merger of ATS Partners & STM, I joined STM as an Manager in 2021.

Whether it is a client call for support, a co-workers computer not working, a committee meeting to enhance our business practices or compliance no two days are the same. That is what makes coming to work every day interesting and exciting as well as the support and guidance I receive from my workmates.

STM is a terrific place to work as it is a relaxed professional environment. STM prides itself on being flexible to suit all arrangements and I feel that makes myself and co-workers appreciate our environment more. All our staff respect and support each other in all matters.

As I grew up in a small country town, I love living in the Albury/Wodonga region because for me it is still a small community where everything you would need is available and is easily accessible to both Sydney and Melbourne. You know your neighbours and can walk down the street on any given day and say hi to someone you know.

My varied interests include photography in which I received an Associate Diploma in Visual Arts on completion of secondary education I enjoy travelling around taking photos, gardening, AFL football – Collingwood, of course, horse racing and spending time with family and friends.

I have been heavily involved in (as both chair and committee member) Business Women Albury Wodonga. This has helped me to concentrate on Women in Business in our area as a point of interest and learn a great deal from my peers.

Over the past few years, I have also expanded my experience by becoming a Lecturer at both La Trobe University (Wodonga) and Wodonga Institute of Tafe, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Accounting with others.
